Here’s another example of how one might use the Peel-away Vortex Transition I am working on.
This is a heavy sucker to render, but I think it looks pretty good.
The dancer is, of course, one of the thousands of clips you can find in Crowd Control, Our library of Pre-keyed Alpha Stock Footage.
Still don’t have a winner for the name, so keep the ideas coming.

How about, “Girl peels away but then can also reform and you can add this to other stuff to make it peel or burn away or form in a cool way tutorial” I think it is short and to the point…
Oh, that’s nice man! You know what I’m thinking? This could be the Romulan Transporter Beam because it’s a little bit edgier than the Federation Transporter Beam from the new Star Trek. But if you advertise it with the girl you could call it The Beauty Beam. Excellent compositing on your Crowd Control image, BTW.
Thanks, Jim. Compositing was done with a light wrap effect and the use of Red Giant Warp for the shadow, and Magic Bullet Looks to color grade the whole thing (which really helps in compositing).
was any particule illusion 3 used?
was any particle illusion 3 used?
No, Steve. All particles are Trapcode Form.
Wow, awesome Aharon!
awesome man!
How about: “Whip Transition”
You could always call these the “Aharon Effect.” or the “Rabinowitz Reveal”.
