The People I Work With (and Who You Should Work With Too)

Over the years I’ve worked with a lot of people, and I’m at the point in my career where I can be a little picky about it. Aside from the team at Red Giant Software (which I am honored to be a part of) there are a few people and companies that I have really enjoyed working with and that you should think about working with as well.

If you’re an After Effects user who works with expressions, you know Dan Ebberts, and have probably been the beneficiary of his knowledge. Through his interactions at Creative Cow.net and his website motionscript.com, Dan helps so many people work faster and better in AE. But what a lot of people don’t know about him is that he has years of experience as an engineer, and takes freelance work. I’ve kept Dan pretty busy these last few months working on Holomatrix, our upcoming product (more on that soon), and I’ve learned over that time just how talented, funny, and briliant he really is. I’m told he’s also really good at Dance Dance Revolution- not that I’ve witnessed that myself. But I believe it.

Imagine what you could do with access to the largest Green Screen Studio in the Southern Hemisphere at your disposal. Located in Australia, but virtually next door through the use of modern technology, I video chat with them every single week to discuss projects we’re working on together. They are the team that built Crowd Control, our library of pre-keyed alpha stock footage, and the people I trust to help me when filming projects that require live action. If you need footage of actors filmed on a green screen, they are associated with a huge range of acting talent, and can get you what you need. Make sure to consider them the next time you need to do a shoot.

Here are four words that describe Outpost Pictures: Pure Talent. No Ego. This team of designers, animators, and audio specialists can help you realize your vision. They take direction well, offer creative solutions to challenging problems, and never say a bad word even when things get into crunch time. They are dedicated to getting the job done, and getting it done well. I’ve worked with them on several projects (with more in the queue), and they always come through, whether we have 2 weeks or 2 days to get things done. I’m almost reluctant to praise them too much, as I’m afraid you’ll steal them away.

David_BrewerDavid Brewer

My go-to VO guy. He is the voice in 3 commercials I directed, with a few more in the planning stages. He has a great range, takes direction well, and is full of suggestions. I always know I’ll get what I need when I come to him with a script. Also he is very affordable. Hire him! You won’t be sorry. And tell him I sent you.

  3. Ah the fanboys… Kramerfan, while I think Andrew is a great guy and very talented, the point of the article was to talk about PEOPLE I WORK WITH. I don’t work with Andrew Kramer.
